Jones family farms is becoming one of most recognized names in the San Juan Islands, and there’s a reason why. With responsibly raised, fresh, quality meats and sea food, you will not want to eat anything else. Also, they make it easy to get cuts custom ordered and will let you know what’s available and what is up coming for the future as far as availability. All animals are pasture raised and the taste of the meat is of the highest quality. I highly recommend their products for yourself or your restaurant, or store. If you get a chance check out where their meats are available and try some, you won’t be disappointed. I live on Lopez where their farm is so I know a little about their operation. I purchased some beef as a gift for my mother and she loved it so much she buys it whenever she has a chance, also the goat and sea food is a favorite of mine, haven’t tried the pork but everything else is of the highest quality.

My husband, Tye, and I took some friends visiting from Australia to The Herbfarm on New Year’s Eve for dinner. In the first course they served oysters that they announced were from Lopez Island. I asked our server if they were your oysters and she confirmed that they were. The Herbfarm only sources the very best so that is a real achievement. Congratulations!

I called last week, and I believe it was Sara I talked to. I so much appreciate how informative our conversation was and your willingness to spend time explaining your practices. I’ve given up buying meat that isn’t healthily and humanely raised.
Bought your bottom round from Rainshadow on Capitol Hill here in Seattle and made a wonderful recipe for “Asado Negro” that had just popped up in the New York Times. It was the meat, though, that made it wonderful.
P.S. If you make the recipe, know that the sauce will need to be reduced quite a bit. Fortunately, I was cooking well ahead of serving, so I had time to do this. In fact, the dish re-heats beautifully.
This is the most amazing, wonderful tasting, healthy meat our family has ever enjoyed. It’s the only thing we feed the family at this point. Great work!
